Shop Now!The Cheviot featured in this yarn were raised and shorn in the Midwest. Featuring all small businesses, Cheviot Limited is created from sheep to skein within a 250 mile radius!
Originally hailing from the Cheviot Hills on the border between England and Scotland, Cheviot sheep produce a fleece that is highly durable and lofty. Traditionally used for wool tartans, the natural helical crimp of this wool means that it resists felting. It is springy, lofty, and bouncy for an exquisite hand. The natural lanolin, and slight thick and thin quality, makes this yarn absolutely lovely to work with.
