Tyrian Purple - otherwise known as Phonecian Red or Imperial Purple - is a rich purple shade with a deep red undertone.

In ancient times, this dye was made from extracting it from tens of thousands of sea snails.  The tricky process was kept a closely guarded secret by it's makers as a result it was color that was highly expensive, and highly sought after. Ultimately it was so valued that by the 4th century Roman law dictated that only the Emperor was allowed to wear this shade - under penalty of death.

Pairs With:  This was designed to pair with any of the colorways in the Toxic Collection!  I especially love this with Scheele's Green or Destructive.
