During a retrograde, a planet appears to reverse its course across the sky, an illusion created by the relative motion of Earth as it passes the slower-moving planet. In the case of Mercury retrograde, this results in a visual effect where Mercury seems to drift backward against the backdrop of the stars. The change is subtle but striking—like a skipping record in the heavens—bringing with it an energetic ripple that many believe disrupts communication, travel, and timing. The night sky during this period often feels just slightly off-kilter, as if the cosmic rhythm has momentarily missed a beat, echoing the strange tension this phenomenon is known to stir.

For all of our hand dyed yarns we recommend that they are either washed by hand or machine washed cold, gentle cycle. Use only gentle wool wash and always lay flat to dry.

Variations between dyelots and from skein to skein are expected. It is best practice when working with hand dyed yarn to alternate skeins as you work.
