Ever wanted to learn how to dye yarn?  Or wondered what the difference is between hand painted and kettle dyed?  Or how we get those crisp speckles? 

Join Jeanne Stevenson of Destination Yarn for a full day learn-to-dye course!  In this fun, hands on workshop we will cover everything from color theory and dye mixing, to basics of creating hand dyed yarn.  You will have the opportunity to try dying with many different techniques –hand painting, kettle dye, semi-solids, and even speckles!

At the end of the day you will go home with 5, completely unique skeins dyed using a variety of methods.  Everyone is welcome - from beginners through more advanced dyers!

Course Includes:

  • 5 full skeins of Destination Yarn in our Postcard base.
  • All dye, materials, and equipment.
  • Instruction from a professional dyer.
  • Full access to the Destination Yarn professional dye studio.
  • A detailed course book.
  • Light snacks and beverages (lunch will be on your own, however there are many awesome dining options close by)

Please note:  This class is intended for amateur dyers and personal use.  This will not cover professional, production techniques. 

Classes are nonrefundable if cancelled less than 1 week from class start time.  We cannot take any walk ins or payments at the door.
