This is our colorway for the Nash Yarn Festival! Find it at the Cooperative Press booth of the show!

Bold, radiant, and full of Southern charm, this yarn is inspired by the legendary Dolly Parton—a woman as iconic as the rhinestones on her dresses and the heartfelt lyrics in her songs.

The inspiration for this came from so many places! I started the design process looking into the history of her amazing outfits and stage presence. From there I was inspired by all of the fan art based around her - there is so much! - that all celebrates the idea of feminine strength.

First this colorway is dyed a platinum blonde, echoing Dolly’s signature hair. Then I layer on lovely pinks, reminiscent of her bold outfits and unapologetic femininity. Finally, there is a layer of soft denim blues, a nod to her humble roots and classic country style.

Like Dolly herself, this yarn is full of personality—warm, inviting, and just a little bit over the top in the best way possible!

Pairs with: Wildflowers Don't Care Where They Grow, and Wild Mountain Rose were both designed to pair with this colorway - I also love it with either Denim or Sonnet!

For all of our hand dyed yarns we recommend that they are either washed by hand or machine washed cold, gentle cycle. Use only gentle wool wash and always lay flat to dry.

Variations between dyelots and from skein to skein are expected. It is best practice when working with hand dyed yarn to alternate skeins as you work.
